New Asaba of Omu-Aran

Mallam Ibrahim Adeyemi Ayanda was born in 1948 to the families of Ogunwede Fabiyi of the Ijawusi ruling compound of Ikoja and that of Sunmonu Owolewa Petu Fatunke of Igangu. He was one of the first set of pupils to reach primary seven at Muslim Community Primary School (Kewu-Kewe) Omu-Aran. After graduation from Kewu-Kewe in 1963, he gained admission into secondary school in 1964. He had his High School Certificate Education between 1969-1970 at the now Government secondary school, Ilorin. He attended Ahmadu Bello University between 1974 and 1977 with a Second Class Honours in Geography. Again between 1987 and 1988, he was at the United Nations Regional Institute for Population Studies (RIPS), University of Ghana Legon, for his Masters Degree in Population studies.

Chief Ibrahim Adeyemi Ayanda is happily married to Hajia Omowunmi Alake Ajiyo (new owotori). She is presently a chief Nursing Officer at the Kwara State Ministry of Health. They are blessed with four lovely children, Abdulrasheed, Rasheed, Shakirat and Idris. His hobby included gardening and reading.
